I haven’t shared much about this journey but, I have a “lesson learned” I think could benefit. Recently I decided that it was time to get healthy. Not just lose a few pounds but, really take my health seriously and be in the closest shape to how I was when I was dancing and acting all the time (aka my early 20s) Now I was not trying to recapture my youth or be the same (that’s unrealistic when you’re pushing 40) but I knew if I didn’t get serious, it would be harder and harder as I got older.

Today I’m happy to report that I have released 21 pounds and am halfway to my goal (I don’t care about the weight goal as much as I do about how I fit in certain outfits but I think it’s going to take about 20 more) I had previously tried a few different “programs” and had tried just eating better and more frequently.

The lesson I want to share isn’t that “this” program that I’m doing is right for everyone or even share what it is. The point is, I made the decision that I was going to do this and nothing was going to stop me.

I didn’t say I was going to do it and in the back of my head think “we’ll I’m gonna try.” I stopped blaming my business, my lack of interest in exercise (I really only enjoy yoga, dancing, and swimming) and I didn’t blame anyone else. I took the responsibility that I had created these results, that I was the one to blame, and I had the power to change it.

So what does this have to do with business? Well, when I made this decision, I didn’t know what program I was going to try. I didn’t have all the tools and systems and know-how that I needed to achieve my goal. I didn’t need to have those things to decide. I just needed to make the decision, with my whole heart and spirit and the know-how, systems and tools found their way to me. I’m not trying to get spiritual, Law of Attraction or, religious here…though I know that God helped me along the way…the point is once you decide, you have the determination and are committed…you will find what you need, you will meet the right people, and you’ll have the energy and courage to take the action because your commitment is the fuel that keeps you going.

So, what are you still waffling about? What decisions have you left lingering on your “plate” for too long? What is it time to change? Leave me a comment below.

Whatever it is that you want in your life or business, it will never come to you without first making a decision that you deserve it and then taking action. Don’t wait…the clock keeps ticking and we’ve only got so long in this life to make the impact, be the example and create the change we know we were put here to make.

Here’s to your fantastic success!
