While it would be great to be able to manage all of the details of your business, there are items that will slip through the cracks if you aren’t careful.

Think of it as being like the circus act where the performers spins plates in the end of a stick, adding more and more until he can’t keep up and they all wobble and crash.

[Tweet: “It’s impossible to manage every single detail of your business and do it well, which is where finding a Virtual Assistant and outsourcing some of the work becomes essential.”]

I covered some of the sites where you can outsource all kinds of work in the first part of this article, so for this one, let’s look at the best places to go when looking for a VA:

1. International Virtual Assistants Organization (IVAA)

This website contains an extensive directory of VA professionals who are actively looking for clients. You can scan the directory or submit a Request for Proposal application in order to be matched up with an assistant who matches all of your specific needs. They are online at http://www.ivaa.org/

2. VA Networking

There is a ton of information available at this site for Virtual Assistants, as well as for the people looking to hire them. One of the great benefits about conducting your search through this site are the tools that are made available to you. VA Networking offers a pair of e-books that will give you all the information you need so that you can choose a VA that is a perfect fit for your company. You can check them out at vanetworking.com

3. Virtual Assistant Forums

Signing up at virtualassistantforums.com can be beneficial in a number of different ways. The most obvious is the ability to submit your request for proposal in the forums, but you might also be able to find recommendations from other VA’s, especially since this is a pretty tight little community.
The internet is full of sites that cater to those looking for a virtual assistant, but you need to be aware that not all are created equal. If in doubt, take to the forums and ask if anyone has had experience with the site you are considering using. After all, there is still no better form of recommendation than positive word of mouth.
